Foot toys are the ones that do not hang. They get picked up, carried, thrown off the perch and retrieved by you. For a lot of birds, especially conures and caiques, they get more play than anything else in the cage.
Ours are small, light and made of a single material so you can see what your bird prefers: coarse sisal, woven willow, split bamboo. Scatter a few on a play stand or the cage floor rather than tying them to anything, and rotate them so they stay new.
