Collection: Bird toys for quakers

Quakers are builders. In the wild they weave stick nests, and in a cage that instinct shows up as a bird who manipulates every stick, strand and strip it can find. Toys with parts that move, thread or pull out get more use than solid blocks.

They are strong chewers for a 100 gram bird and will get through soft wood quickly. Willow, bamboo and beech slow them down. A woven toy stuffed with something to pull out is usually the winner.

All materials here are undyed and untreated, and every toy is handmade in the UK.
